    Guillermo J. Beades

    Mr. Beades is responsible for representing physicians and healthcare professionals in broad range of healthcare law, regulatory and transactional matters. 

    Mr. Beades has extensive litigation experience before state licensing authorities and Medical Boards (e.g., SBME, OPMC), federal healthcare agencies (e.g., OIG, CMS, DEA, and OCR), state healthcare agencies (e.g., NJ Medicaid Fraud Division, NY OMIG) and hospital review boards.

    Practice areas include the representation of physicians and practices in matters concerning credentialing and denial of privileges, administrative discipline, Medicare audits and overpayment demands, pre-payment audits, employment actions, white collar defense (e.g., Medicare Fraud, False Claims Act) and Anti-Kickback Statute, Codey Law and Stark Litigation. 

    Mr. Beades also represents physicians and healthcare professionals in regulatory and transactional matters, including, but not limited to:  purchase and sale of medical practices, physician employment contracts, practice management agreements, real estate purchase, lease agreements and Stark Law, Codey Law, Federal and State Anti-Kickback laws and other regulatory and compliance matters.  

    Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Beades practiced at a regional defense firm with a focus on the representation and advocacy of corporate clients and licensed professionals. Mr. Beades has particular experience in the fields of medical malpractice, insurance coverage and fraud, fee disputes with hospitals and complex litigation. Mr. Beades is also experienced in litigation specific to licensed professionals and medical facilities. Mr. Beades' litigation experience includes trials, oral arguments before State Courts and the New Jersey Appellate Division, mediations, arbitrations and settlement negotiations. Mr. Beades is fluent in Spanish and has conducted document reviews in Spanish.

    Mr. Beades graduated from Villanova University School of Law, and received his Bachelor of Science in Crime, Law and Justice from the Pennsylvania State University.
    Mr. Beades is admitted to practice law in the State of New Jersey, the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the State of New York.
